mysocial is established in Sweden. Where Your Personal Information is processed, and by whom, is described in Section 11.
4. Transfer of the Data
In order for mysocial to suggest Creator’s profiles to other creators, the name, category, city, country, anonymous geolocation (location difference based on kilometers) and gender of all Creators registered on the Platform will automatically be displayed within the Platform upon creation of a Creator mysocial account.
mysocial may, from time to time, contact You on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to You. 6. Social Media Data
6.1. YouTube Data
As a Creator, You acknowledge and agree that the mysocial uses YouTube’s API to collect and store all information and data available within Your YouTube account including, without limitation, the title of Your YouTube channels, their date and country of creation, images and description, number of views, number of videos, number of comments, number of subscribers, audience demographics, audience view retention, (“YouTube Data”). Therefore, by using the Platform, You notably agree to be bound to the Google Privacy Policy available at the following URL address: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
The YouTube Data is collected to (i) confirm Your subscription to the Platform and to (ii) compute statistics regarding Your mysocial activity. Your YouTube Data is stored in mysocial’s servers and shared with mysocial’s privileged partners for statistical purposes.
You can revoke at any time mysocial’s access to Your YouTube Data via the Google security settings page available at the following URL address: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
6.2. Instagram Data
As a Creator, You acknowledge and agree that mysocial collects and stores all information and data available within Your Instagram account including, without limitation, the title of Your Instagram channels, their date and country of creation, images, videos and description including Your stories, number of views, number of pictures, number of comments, number of subscribers, audience demographics (“Instagram Data”).
The Instagram Data is collected to (i) confirm Your subscription to the Platform and to (ii) compute statistics regarding Your mysocial activity. Your Instagram Data is stored in mysocial’s servers and shared with mysocial’s privileged partners for statistical purposes.
You can revoke at any time mysocial’s access to Your Instagram Data by sending an email to mysocial at: support@mysocial.io.
6.3. TikTok Data
As a Creator, You acknowledge and agree that mysocial collects and stores all information and data available within Your TikTok account including, without limitation, the username of Your TikTok channels, their date and country of creation, the total amount of followers, their bio, their link in bio, videos, images and description including, number of views, number of comments, number of shares, number of likes and audience demographics (“TikTok Data”).
The TikTok Data is collected to (i) confirm Your subscription to the Platform and to (ii) compute statistics regarding Your mysocial activity. Your TikTok Data is stored in mysocial’s servers and shared with mysocial’s privileged partners for statistical purposes.
You can revoke at any time mysocial’s access to Your TikTok Data by disconnecting the channel in Your mysocial settings or by sending an email to mysocial at: support@mysocial.io.
6.4. Threads Data
As a Creator, You may connect a Threads account. mysocial requests the permissions threads_basic, threads_read_replies and threads_manage_insights, and collects and stores the information those permissions return, including: Your username and profile details, Your posts and their text, images, videos, carousels, quoted and reposted content, alt text and attached links, the date of each post, and the number of views, likes, replies, shares, reposts and quotes (“Threads Data”).
Threads reports follower demographics, and mysocial stores them: aggregate country, city, age and gender breakdowns of Your followers. Threads reports no saves and no skip rate, so mysocial holds neither for this platform.
Replies to Your Threads posts are collected as described in Section 6.6.
You can revoke at any time mysocial’s access to Your Threads Data by disconnecting the channel in Your mysocial settings, or through Your Threads account settings.
6.5. LinkedIn Data
You connect a LinkedIn profile or Company Page by authorising mysocial through LinkedIn. Doing so grants the permissions r_basicprofile, r_1st_connections_size, r_member_postAnalytics and r_member_profileAnalytics; for a Company Page You administer, also r_organization_social, r_organization_social_feed, r_organization_followers and rw_organization_admin. These permissions allow mysocial to read; mysocial does not publish to LinkedIn on Your behalf.
The LinkedIn Data mysocial collects and stores includes: Your name, headline, summary, profile image, location, follower and connection counts, verification status, current company and job title; for a Company Page, its tagline, description, logo, employee count, industries, website and headquarters address; and Your posts with their text, images, videos and the number of views, likes, comments and reposts.
Company Pages. Where You authorise a Company Page, everything above comes from LinkedIn’s own interface: the post catalogue, per-post impressions and reaction breakdowns, and the aggregate follower demographics LinkedIn publishes — seniority, job function, industry, company size, country, market area and employee association.
Personal profiles. LinkedIn does not make a member’s own posts available to applications. Where You authorise a personal LinkedIn profile, mysocial therefore obtains Your profile details and Your post content from a third-party data provider that collects publicly visible LinkedIn content, rather than from LinkedIn’s API. Per-post analytics, where Your authorisation makes them available, come from LinkedIn itself. The provider is listed in Section 8. A personal LinkedIn profile provides no follower demographics, and mysocial holds none for it.
Comments on Your LinkedIn posts are not collected.
You can revoke at any time mysocial’s access to Your LinkedIn Data by disconnecting the channel in Your mysocial settings, and in Your LinkedIn account settings.
6.6. Comments and Replies Written by Other People
Where a platform makes them available, mysocial collects the comments and replies that other people leave on Your posts. For each such comment mysocial stores the text of the comment, the commenter’s display name or handle, the commenter’s identifier on that platform, the number of likes and replies it received, whether it is a reply, and when it was written. Those people are not mysocial users and have no relationship with mysocial; they are third parties whose personal data mysocial processes in order to provide the Services to You.
Comment text is analysed by artificial intelligence models as described in Section 8, in order to identify what Your audience is asking for. The analysis mysocial retains is a summary of that need; it is derived from the comment text, which is also retained.
Collection differs by platform, and at the date of this Privacy Policy:
- Threads — replies and nested replies to Your posts are collected through the Threads API.
- TikTok — comments and their replies are collected through a third-party data provider.
- YouTube — comments and their replies are collected through the YouTube API.
- Instagram — mysocial requests the
instagram_manage_commentspermission when You connect an Instagram account, and the ability to collect Instagram comments is built into the Services. That collection is not currently operating. The permission is subject to review by Meta which mysocial has not completed, and the feature is disabled. If it is enabled in the future, it will apply only to accounts whose holder has granted that permission. - LinkedIn — comments are not collected.
If You are not a mysocial Creator and a comment You wrote has been collected because You commented on a Creator’s post, You may exercise the rights described in Section 12 by contacting mysocial at support@mysocial.io.
6.7. Copies of Your Media
mysocial does not only store links to Your content. For Instagram, Threads, TikTok and LinkedIn, mysocial downloads and retains a private copy of the original video file of Your posts, together with copies of post images and carousel slides, in mysocial’s own cloud storage. Video files above 512 megabytes are not copied. For YouTube, mysocial retains only the thumbnail image; the video itself is never copied.
This copy exists because the addresses at which platforms serve media expire, and because the Services re-analyse Your content over time. It is retained even when the analysis derived from it is regenerated, and it is deleted when the underlying post is deleted from the platform, or when You exercise Your rights under Section 12.
Alongside each copy mysocial stores text derived from it by automated analysis, which may include a transcript of the speech in a video, text appearing on screen, a description of the scene, and a summary of what the media shows.
Bulk copying of Your existing back catalogue begins when You subscribe to a paid plan. On the free plan the analysis pipeline described in this Section and in Section 8 does not run.
7. Browser Extension Data
mysocial offers a browser extension for Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers (the “Extension”), which lets You save a post You are looking at on a supported social platform into Your own mysocial idea library. The Extension is an optional part of the Services and this Section describes everything it handles.
The Extension adds a save button to posts on supported social platforms. Nothing is read until You click that button on a specific post. The Extension does not collect Your feed, Your browsing history, Your search history, the pages You visit, or any other person’s profile, and it contains no advertising or third-party analytics.
When You click save, the Extension handles:
Post link: the web address of the post You chose to save, which is then opened in mysocial so the Platform can import that post. Because a supported platform may not expose a post’s address anywhere in the page, the Extension may use the platform’s own “Copy link to post” function and read the resulting link from Your clipboard. This happens only in direct response to Your click, and only the link that click produced is read — no other clipboard content is accessed at any time.
Session information: Your existing mysocial session cookie, read only on mysocial.io addresses, and only to confirm on the Extension’s setup page that You are signed in and to show which workspace Your saves will land in. It is read per request and discarded; the Extension never stores it and never transmits it anywhere other than mysocial. No cookies from any other website are read.
Local settings: Your chosen mysocial environment address and local interface state, stored in the browser’s own extension storage. No browsing data is stored.
The content of a post You save is retrieved and processed by mysocial’s servers, not by the Extension, and is then held in Your idea library under this Privacy Policy in the same way as any other Data You submit to the Platform.
mysocial’s use of information received from the Extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, the information described in this Section is used solely to provide and improve the saving feature described above, is not sold to third parties, is not used or transferred for any purpose unrelated to that feature, and is not used for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
You may remove the Extension at any time from Your browser’s extensions page, which ends all of the above immediately. Signing out of mysocial in that browser also stops the Extension from saving. Ideas already saved to Your account remain in Your idea library and are subject to Your rights under Section 12.
8. Automated Analysis and Artificial Intelligence
The Services work by analysing Your content automatically. This Section describes what leaves mysocial’s own systems in order for that to happen.
What is analysed. The captions and text of Your posts; transcripts of Your videos; images from Your posts and frames taken from Your videos; documents and links You import; and the text of comments left on Your posts by other people, together with the post they were left on.
Who analyses it. mysocial uses the following processors. Each receives only what is needed for its function, is bound by its agreement with mysocial to use it solely to provide that function, and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes.
| Processor | What it receives |
|---|---|
| Google Cloud (Vertex AI, Gemini models) | Post captions and text; images and video from Your posts; transcripts; imported documents; comment text with its post context |
| Google Cloud (embedding models) | Text derived from Your content, converted into numerical representations that make it searchable |
| Google Cloud Storage | The copies of Your media described in Section 6.7 |
| OpenAI | Audio extracted from Your videos, for speech transcription |
| Third-party social data providers | Public profile addresses, post addresses and video identifiers, in order to retrieve public content that a platform’s own interface does not make available to applications — including the profile and posts of a personal LinkedIn profile, and TikTok comments |
| Web search and page-retrieval providers | Search terms and the addresses of pages You ask the Services to read |
Where the Services offer research beyond Your own channels, the search terms and page addresses involved are sent to the search and retrieval providers above.
Automated decisions. The analysis produces rankings, scores, topic groupings and suggestions. These are informational: they do not restrict Your access to the Services, and no legal or similarly significant decision about You is made by automated means.
Accuracy. Model-generated descriptions of You, Your audience or Your content are inferences, not statements of fact, and may be wrong. You may correct or delete them under Section 12.
9. Connected AI Assistants
mysocial can be connected to an AI assistant You already use, such as ChatGPT or Claude, so that the assistant can work with Your mysocial data on Your instruction. This is optional and takes effect only if You connect one.
When You do, mysocial receives and records, for each request the assistant makes on Your behalf: which mysocial operations it called, when, whether they succeeded, how long they took, how much they returned, and which assistant made them.
mysocial also records a one-sentence description of what You asked the assistant to do. That description is written by the assistant, not by You — it is the assistant’s paraphrase of Your request, and it is not a copy of Your conversation. mysocial does not receive Your conversation with the assistant, and the assistant’s provider decides what it sends; mysocial receives nothing beyond what is described here.
That description is used only to understand which kinds of request the Services serve well and which they serve badly. It is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted, after which mysocial keeps only a general category (for example, “asked what to post”) and a value that cannot be read back into the original sentence. It is never used for advertising, is never sold, and is not sent to any of the processors listed in Section 8.
You can disconnect an assistant at any time in Your mysocial settings, which stops all of the above.
10. Public Content About Other People
To let Creators see what is working in their field, mysocial collects and stores publicly available content published by creators and organisations who are not mysocial users. This includes their public profile details, their public posts and the images in them, and engagement counts, held in a shared corpus available to Creators of the Services.
mysocial processes this on the basis of its legitimate interest in providing a market-research capability, and limits it to content the publisher has made public. If You are the subject of such content and want it removed, contact mysocial at support@mysocial.io and mysocial will remove it.
11. Security and storage of the Data
mysocial secures the Data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure by unauthorized third parties and ensures that will take all appropriate measures to limit the risk that it may be lost, damaged or misused.
Where the Data is processed. mysocial is established in Sweden and operates the Services on cloud infrastructure provided by Google. Some of the processors listed in Section 8 process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is made under the safeguards permitted by applicable data protection law, including the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long the Data is kept. The Data is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above. In particular:
- Copies of Your media, and the analysis derived from them, are kept for as long as the underlying post exists on the platform and Your account is open, as described in Section 6.7.
- The description of a request made through a connected AI assistant is deleted after 90 days, as described in Section 9.
- When You close Your account or ask for Your Data to be deleted under Section 12, it is deleted.
After those points, Data is kept only where mysocial is required to keep it, or in a form from which You can no longer be identified. Once such period is expired, the Data is destroyed.
12. Your rights
You are entitled to access, correct and ask for Your Data to be deleted by requesting to do so via Your Personal settings and Account Information or by sending a letter to the following address: GoldenGlow AB. - Anckargripsgatan 3, Malmö 211 19, Sweden
You can also opt-out of receiving announcements of certain information by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the promotional e-mail You receive, by choosing Your preferred settings at the following or by sending us an email to : support@mysocial.io.
At this time mysocial does not respond to browser ‘Do Not Track’ signals, as mysocial awaits the work of interested stakeholders and others to develop standards for how such signals should be interpreted.
